Free Money Offers (£000s Up For Grabs!)

While financial education is the main focus for Farsight Finance, I also want to ensure you are aware of, and are able to take advantage of, free money offers. Who doesn’t love a freebie?! Whether it’s sign-up or referral bonuses, freebies, or simply money-saving offers on your favourite products, I’ll include everything I find on this page.

Introduction & Disclaimers

I’ve personally earned hundreds of pounds by utilising free money offers over the last couple of years. The best bit about referral programs? You can then earn even more by sending your own link to your friends and family!

Note that some of the links below are referral and/or affiliate links, so I may receive a small financial benefit when you sign up. However, I will never advertise or include offers for an app or service I do not think is reasonable or safe. Therefore, you may not see some offers that are available on other websites. If it’s not good enough for me, then I won’t recommend it to you.

By using any of my referral links above, you’ll also be contributing to the costs associated with the running of this site and my ability to provide even more value. So it’s a win-win!

Disclaimer: the majority of these are “Sign-Up” offers, so are only available to those who have not signed up to the app/service before.

With all that out of the way, here are the offers currently available (Last Updated: 17th March 2024):

Free Cash Offers

Bank Switching

Bank switch bonuses are one of my absolute favourite ways to make easy money. Some banks are willing to pay you hundreds of pounds to switch to them from your current provider.

With the UK’s Bank Switch Service, all of the hard work is done for you. The bank will move over all your direct debits, standing orders, and even notify everyone of your new bank details. From what I’ve seen, even friends and family have their payee information updated!

Not only is everything done for you (in just seven days!), any transfers to your old account will be redirected for three years.

But, what if something does go wrong?

To really sweeten the deal, banks have a “Current Account Switch Guarantee”. This means any money lost due to errors during the account switch process, will be refunded to you quibble-free. It honestly can’t get much better.

Yet, many people will still stay with their current bank for misplaced convenience. In today’s world, there is zero reason to remain loyal to your existing bank. At least, not unless they provide an incredibly competitive interest rate.

Personally, I have a second account with two direct debits attached, which I use exclusively for switching. That way, I don’t have to worry about anything happening to my “main” account. Best of both world!

There’s zero point in me reinventing the wheel here, so I’m going to refer to Martin Lewis’ MoneySavingExpert. They have the most up-to-date information.

Check out the current bank switch deals here.

QUICK NOTE: Do be advised that, if you’re about to apply for a mortgage, it may not be a good idea to bank switch regularly. Doing so lowers the “length of account” figure on your credit file. This in turn can lower your credit score; albeit temporarily.

Monzo – £5 or £50 Signup Offe

The first free money offer in this list is Monzo, one of the UK’s biggest digital-only bank. As a UK regulated bank, any money within Monzo is FSCS protected up to £85,000.

By signing up and creating a personal account, you can get a £5 signup bonus. However, if you sign up to a business account, you can get a whopping £50! (If you create both, you just get the £50).

Monzo have some great features. For example, their saving pots (which pay up to 3.2% at the moment) are a great way to save money for specific things, such as your emergency fund. It’s also very easy to send money to friends or split a bill within the Monzo app. Then there’s the inbuilt features to help you – almost effortlessly – track your spending and set budgets.

When it comes to their business account, the app integrates nicely with Xero and Quickbooks, and you can set up a specific pot for tax, to ensure you never forget to keep that money separate.

To get the signup bonus, you must:

  • Download the Monzo app via the link below
  • Sigh up to a personal or business account
  • Verify your ID
  • Wait for your debit card to arrive
  • Spend money on your card within 30 days of signing up

Sign up to Monzo here.

Trading212 – Free Share Worth Up To £100

Trading212 is a commission-free investment app where you can buy and sell ‘fractional’ shares. All this means is, you don’t need to have the money on hand to buy a whole share, which can be expensive. You could instead add £5, and own ‘part’ of a share in the company instead. This lets you invest with small amounts; great for those just beginning their investment journey.

The company also offer ISA accounts, and are FSCS Insured, meaning you are covered for up to £85,000. So you are protected, should the company go bust.

To get the free share:

  • Sign up for a Trading 212 Invest account with this link.
  • Verify your identity.
  • Fund your account with at least £1.
  • Receive a free share worth up to £100, within 7 days!

You may decide not to keep your share; and that’s okay. Wait until the lock-in period has ended, sell your share and withdraw the money to your bank account. Easy!

Utilities – Free Credit

Octopus Energy – £50 Energy Credit (£100 for Businesses!)

Switching utility providers can save you money. Sometimes, they even pay you to switch!

I’ve been with Octopus for almost two years now, and I’ve had a great experience so far. They seem to genuinely care about their customers. During the cost-of-living crisis, Octopus chose to take a loss for the year, when they could have made a profit. Instead, they charged as little as they could for energy, supported those unable to pay, provided electric blankets to vulnerable households… They’ve even run a campaign to help people make their homes more energy efficient. I’ve seen no other energy company go this far to help people.

For a long while, they stopped taking on new customers, but you’re now able to get a quote from them via my link below. If you sign up using said link, you’ll also get £50 credit added to your account once you’ve switched!

Sign up with my referral link and get £50 credit towards your energy bills.

Airtime Rewards – £1.50 Signup Offer) + Cashback Towards Your Phone Bill

I love Airtime Rewards. It’s an effortless way to gain cashback, which you can redeem against your phone bill once you save over £10.00.

To start earning cashback, you simply need to download the app and connect your debit/credit cards. Whenever you shop at their partner retailers, you’ll receive cashback automatically, whether in-store or online.

To get the £1.50 signup bonus:

  • Sign up to Airtime Rewards
  • Add at least one bank card to the account
  • Spend money using this card at one of the partner retailers within 5 days

Note: If you don’t believe the referral has gone through, enter the following code: J6UAWAE

Freebies & Discounts

Huel – £10 Off Your First Order

I’ll confess, I absolutely love Huel!

I’ve always been a fussy eater. To make it worse, I was often skipping meals in my previous employment to get everything done, meaning my health was really beginning to suffer. This all changed once I started taking a bottle of Huel to work each day. Even after leaving that job, I continue to have at least one Huel meal per day – usually breakfast.

I’ve consumed over 1,000 ‘meals’ so far, so I’ve tried just about everything. Personally, I like the ready-to-drink meals most, especially the chocolate flavour. They’re a little more expensive than the powder, but they’re incredibly convenient. There’s also a near-zero risk of any lumps, which is fantastic for a fussy git like myself.

Sign up to Huel here to get £10 off your first order (on orders over £46).

Smol – Free Washing or Dishwasher Tablets (Just Pay Delivery)

Smol is an interesting one. They provide cheap-ish, eco-friendly products. Specifically, washing machine tablets, dishwasher tablets, and various other cleaning products. I really enjoyed my free trial, and am considering switching to them in the future; I have quite sensitive skin, and like the idea of buying more environmentally friendly products.

I’ll level with you. Smol is not the cheapest way to get your washing or dishwasher tablets. It is, however, incredibly convenient, the products are sensitive-skin friendly (they even have a fragrance free option for washing tablets), and you feel good knowing it’s a cruelty-free brand with a fully sustainable product (well, outside of the postage).

Anyway, I digress. By signing up with my referral link, you can get a ‘free sample’ (just pay £1 for delivery) of either washing tablets or dishwasher tablets.

  • Sign up to Smol and select your free trial (laundry tablets or dishwasher tablets)
  • Pay £1 postage (£2 if you choose to add both free trials)
  • Wait for your package to arrive – you’ll receive 9 tablets per free trial
  • If you like the product and its price, and want to continue, simply continue the plan
  • If you wish to instead cancel, email help@smolproducts.com during your free trial, and let them know your name, address and reason for cancellation
  • Alternatively, after receiving your first paid package, you can cancel within your account at any time
